Kayla and Bethany

Ok, so I couldn't decide which 3 pictures I liked better so I decided to post them all. :) I think they're adorable. :)

Waterfall duet

Ok, so below is the song Nate and I are learning. :) It sounds a little boring at first but the cool thing is we both get to bang it out as loud as we want. ;) Yay! I'm excited about it. =)

Chocolate that turns into music... ;-)

I would love to have some chocolate right now... but unfortunately, I'm working and cannot leave. So, I'm left to suffer through a few more hours without chocolate. Well, I guess I have to make the money so I can buy the chocolate. =) There's so many things that sound so good to make (sweet things...not real food;), but I never have the ingredients to make anything and when I get off work I tend to just head home to run and then do nothing all evening. I did make dinner last night so I did get something accomplished yesterday besides working. Oh, and I played the piano...it's something right? ;) Nate and I are learning a duet together and so we're supposed to be working on our parts so when we see each other we can actually play it well. :) Haha, we'll see how it goes. ;-) Last time we played it together I had just gotten the music and so we were both sight-reading, which neither of us are very good at, and so most of the time was spent laughing and playing whatever notes we happened to hit. =D Yeah, it didn't sound too great. ;) If I could figure it out I would post the song up so you can hear what Nate and I are supposed to be playing. :) And you can imagine what it would sound like with laughing, wrong notes, Nate saying that we don't need to count the beats when we start, and me telling Nate that he has the wrong rhythm. :) We always have fun though and I miss not being there all the time to bang around with him.

Well, so that was interesting... I went from chocolate to music and I'm sure most of you are thinking that I ramble way too much and that my writing skills are not at all improving... But welcome to my brain of complete ramblings...it's like this pretty much all the time. ;-)

Long night...

Guess what?! I'm working again! ;-) Only about 5 more hours to go....
I'm drinking a big cup of coffee and hoping it wakes me up. Last night at about 9:30 I got a page that the ambulance was needing a crew to go to Kansas City. So, I took it and ended up not getting home till 4. Yeah, so I got about an hour and a half of sleep and now I'm trying to stay awake. I wasn't at all tired during the trip but now I'm exhausted. I'm not really familiar with Kansas City so I sat with the patient and my partner drove us. We did end up getting lost but we finally found the place and it all ended good. :) My patient was a young psych kid that was going to a school up there. We played tic-tac-toe, blew up the gloves and made faces on them, and had a good time. :) Around 1 I asked him if he was tired, he said no and then fell asleep. :) Poor kid.... it was too late for him.

I'm so excited about sleeping in tomorrow! Yay, for me! ;) Elisabeth and Patrick will be leaving in the morning to go see his family so I'll be home alone for the weekend. Well, besides the dog. If only he would talk.... except that might be a little scary. Anybody want to come visit me? :) It's really sad to not have any friends to go hang out with. I really need to make some friends but I'm not exactly sure how to do that when the only people I'm around are those I work with. Lame... I need to get out more. ;)

Man, I'm almost finished with my coffee. :( Sad! What will I do now... fall asleep? ;) That's probably not a wise idea... wouldn't want to lose my job. :)

Kayla's concert

On our way to St. Louis... not sure if John is making the face because he's sitting between the girls or not. ;)

:-)

Waiting... :)

Now, surely most of you can pick out Kayla. :) If not, she's the first chair on the right of the conductor's stand.

I was too close to get the whole group but that's most of them. :)

Work, work, and more work. :)

So, I'm sitting at work (in the office today), and writing on my blog. Does that mean I'm terrible? No, it simply means that I have nothing to do at the moment and decided to blog. I've been staying pretty busy and then in the evenings I've been so tired and lazy that I have failed to write. But, hopefully this evening I'll post up a bunch of pictures and maybe even a video... or not. I keep forgetting that I never got them copied over to a disk to bring up to Columbia. How terribly lame... Anyway, my 3 jobs are all going well. Keeps me out of trouble and worn out. =) Most mornings I'm either getting up at 5 or 6 and so Saturday and Sundays are my only days to sleep in. Yes, I'm very much looking forward to this Saturday. :) Oh, and I absolutely hate alarm clocks. They're the most annoying things ever! It's either a *BEEP BEEP or an annoying ringtone that is so repetitive. I need something that plays pretty music in the morning. =) Then of course, I might just lay there listening to the music instead of getting out of bed. ;)

My week so far has consisted of office work on Monday (and today), and ambulance on Tuesday and Wednesday. Normally, I would've been babysitting my aunts kids in the mornings but my uncle was home and so I wasn't needed. Oh, and tomorrow I will be working in the office and watching kids. :) So that's my week. Isn't it exciting!? ;-) I enjoy staying busy but today I'm worn out and would love to sleep in and then go running or something. :) Oh, and I don't think coffee does anything to me... Isn't it supposed to wake you up? Cause if so...it's not working.

Some of you may find this funny. :) Yesterday, I had a patient (and a EMT student riding along) tell me I was crazy. :) Haha, how'd you guess?! ;) We started talking about flying and they both liked the smooth flights with no turblances. The student is a fire fighter but he really doesn't like flying... I kind of thought that was funny. :) When I told them that my favorite part was landing, taking off and that the more turblance the better, they told me I was crazy. :) I wonder what they would've said if I told them that I wanted to jump out of a plane. =D It was only a 5 minute transport but we did a lot of laughing in that time. =)

Last Sunday, Kayla had a concert in St. Louis so I ended up going home Saturday afternoon and then going to the concert with them on Sunday. :) I got a few pictures so I'll try and upload them later. Kayla was second violin first chair. Which means out of a bunch of other kids she was probably about 3rd best. =) Yay, for Kayla!! I think her teacher was very impressed since she had never been in an orchestra before and to get that chair she had to be pretty good. :) Duh, we already knew that. :) For a youth orchestra they sounded really good. I was very impressed especially since the music they were playing wasn't easy. I was a little sad that I couldn't be up there playing. I always loved playing with a group and the only orchestra I played in was the UMR (S&T) orchestra. And they were really bad! They ruined about every song they played. :) I think my volin teacher would've had a cow if he heard them play. ;)

Ok, maybe coffee does work. I'm sitting at work by myself, wide awake, and will probably start singing in a little bit... and talking to myself. =) Seriously, I'm not crazy... but what else do you do when you're by yourself? =D

I'm back! =)

Wow, I'm pretty much awful with this blogging deal. No, I did not fall off the face of the planet, I've just been busy with work and then having fun. =) Nate and I went down to Springfield and spent the weekend with some very good friends of ours. We played poker, went bowling and ice skating, ate lots of candy, played rockband (which I am absolutely horrible at), ate yummy food, and just had an awesome time. :-) I really wish I could post up a few pictures but I don't have any with me. Bummer...

Tomorrow I start working all three of my jobs. How exciting and crazy! :) I really am looking forward to it and just hope it doesn't start being too much. Those of you who didn't know that I had gotten another job, it's babysitting my aunts kids before school. No sleeping in for me. :) So I'll do that in the morning till about 8:30, then I'll work in my uncle's office till 2:30, and then I work till 11 on the ambulance. Talk about a crazy schedule. I have a feeling I'm going to be a very worn out after it's over. Hopefully, I'll still have a smile on my face by the end of the day. ;-)

Nothing too exciting happened today... so it was pretty much a boring day. ;) I did work and that took up most of my day, then I went to Wal-Mart (how exciting...), and then I walked on the treadmill. Okay, so walking on the treadmill IS really boring. There is no excitement to it at all... I'm thinking that maybe Wednesday I'll run outside. :-) I've not ran in 3 weeks and I really miss it. Crazy, I know. I've had a lot of problems with my leg hating me. Why does it have to be like that? ;) It's actually hated me since summer and I ignored it until it started hurting every time I tried to walk. I really should have quit running months ago so that it wouldn't get any worse; but silly me just didn't want to quit. I thought I could run through it and maybe it would eventually go away. Haha, it didn't.... so I guess I learned my lesson.

Hmm....well, I think that's it for the "exciting" news of my life. ;-) I probably should do something more profitable than sitting here on my blog.... I'll call my mom... that's something profitable. =)
